Portfolio
A selection of my previous work. All projects are listed with the clients’ permission.
Zebi Damen
Zebi Damen is a writer, filmmaker, and painter. Since 2003, I have worked in close collaboration with her to translate and adapt several of her projects, including a film script and a book, for an American audience.
Grayson's strength as a translator lies in her ability to get into the writer's mind. Whether it's the translation of a Dutch book into American English or an American script in need of a native speaker's "dotted i's and crossed t's," you can always count on Grayson to deliver a more-than-good final product. She is a perfectionist with a passion for the written word. A pleasure to work with!

Philip Elsas
Philip Elsas is the founder and director of ComputationalAuditing.com, a company that writes auditing software. Since 2006, I have translated articles written in Dutch that he considers of interest to the English-speaking auditing world.
Grayson is extremely good at penetrating an original text to the core, then expressing its essence in translation - sometimes even better than in the original. An excellent example of this can be found in this blog entry [in Dutch], on an infamous translation debate that's been going on for decades. On November 22, Grayson enters the conversation with no prior knowledge whatsoever, and by December 2 she's managed to produce a translation that can hold its own with that of Hans Blokdijk, the godfather of the Dutch auditing profession!

Bianca Scholten
Bianca Scholten advises industrial companies in Europe and the United States on the definition and realization of their manufacturing IT strategies. She has written two books on implementing management execution systems using the ISA95 standard. I translated both books into American English.
Grayson Morris at Dutch-American Translations has translated two of my books from Dutch to (American) English. She's done so in an extremely professional way. Grayson delivers high-quality work, makes valuable suggestions to improve a text, and goes the extra mile for you. She works quickly and yet very meticulously. I have enjoyed working with her and highly recommend her.

Chris Noppe
Chris Noppe is a Belgian police officer with an intriguing theory about the hiding place of the still-missing Just Judges panel stolen from the Ghent Altarpiece in 1934. I translated his second book, How ‘DUA’lism Unlocks the Mystery of the Just Judges. You can read an excerpt from this translation.
Alice Kerr
Alice Kerr’s parents emigrated from the Netherlands to Canada in the early 1950s. I was privileged to translate several handwritten letters Ms. Kerr’s father wrote to his family betwen 1946 and 1960. These fascinating letters contained a first-person account of events during the Indonesian war for independence, and of the subsequent struggle to build a new life in a new land.
